On September 15, the Integrated Research Training Group 2D Materials (MGK-2DM) hosted the introductory meeting for the doctoral students of the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1415 "Chemistry of Synthetic Two-Dimensional Materials" (Fig. 1). The participants met in the Heinz-Schönfeld lecture hall, Technische Universität Dresden, and were introduced to the essential measures of the MGK training plan by the MGK principal investigator Prof. Inez Weidinger and the MGK coordinator Dr. Doreen Beyer.
Furthermore, the MGK members elected their student committee with a one-year term of office. We are pleased to announce that M. Sc. Ankita De (Chair of Inorganic Chemistry I/TUD), M. Sc. Franz Hempel (Chair of Experimental Physics/TUD) and M. Sc. Gautam Jha (Chair of Theoretical Chemistry/TUD) have been elected and will represent the PhD candidates of the CRC 1415 in future (Fig. 1).
