TU basketball teams on their way to the DHM
Das TU-Basketball-Damenteam hatte viel Spaß
For the first time in several years, on 13.05. again basketball teams from the TU Dresden in the German university championship. Both the men and the women went to Berlin in the preliminary round in brand new DHSZ jerseys. First, the women played against the TU Berlin in an idyllic location in Grunewald. Both teams had regrouped and some had no competition experience. Nevertheless, a respectable game developed in which Dresden fell behind more clearly at the end and had to admit defeat at 41:58.
Despite the defeat, it was a successful restart that the team wants to build on. In any case, the players and coach Hans have returned full of energy. Interested players to strengthen the squad are welcome.
In their preliminary round in the modern sports research hall A, the men met the hosts from the HU Berlin and the Goethe University Frankfurt/Main. Thanks to the intensive cooperation with the Dresden Titans, we were able to draw on unlimited resources and deploy a team with student Bundesliga and regional league players coached by national coach Valentino Lott. Both Frankfurt and Dresden clearly beat HU Berlin, so that the final game was about participation in the final. In a gripping and high-class game, which was played at eye level for long stretches, Dresden prevailed 90:78 thanks to their quality. At the final tournament in Würzburg in six weeks, these players could go a long way. Does the big hit succeed on the first try? We keep our fingers crossed.
