ERDERA first Call announced- " Pre-clinical therapy studies for rare diseases..."!
The European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA) is excited to announce the upcoming launch of its Joint Transnational Call (JTC) for Proposals 2025. Set to officially open on December 10, 2024, this call will invite research teams from across Europe and beyond to submit collaborative projects focused on “Pre-clinical therapy studies for rare diseases using small molecules and biologicals – development and validation”.
Key topics of the Call:
The primary objective is to support interdisciplinary, transnational collaborations that leverage complementary expertise to develop new therapies for rare diseases. Research projects should focus on pre-clinical studies involving small molecules or biologicals. This could include the development of novel therapies, biomarkers for therapy efficiency, or replication of pre-clinical studies to validate findings.
Projects should address at least two of the following:
- Development of novel therapies in a pre-clinical setting.
- Creation and validation of predictive and pharmacodynamic biomarkers.
- Replication of pre-clinical findings to enhance reliability
- Pre-clinical proof-of-concept studies for therapy readyness.
Please note, certain approaches, including ATMP therapies and clinical trials, are excluded from this call. Detailed eligibility criteria are outlined in the Call Guidelines.
Timeline and eligibility criteria:
- 10th December 2024 – Call announcement
- 17th December 2024 – Webinar for interested applicants
- 13th February 2025 – pre-proposal submission
- 09th July 2025 –full-proposal submission
- min 4 partners from 3 participating countries
- 1 Early Career Researcher part of consortium
