Bytes and Bias: Between Gender Awareness and Gender Stereotyping in Digital Teaching-Learning Spaces
The lecture series "Gender Lectures" in the summer semester 2025 is dedicated to the topic "Bytes and Bias - Gender sensitization and stereotyping in digital teaching-learning spaces". The Gender Concept Group and the Digital Teaching Team of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at TU Dresden are cooperating for the first time.
Digital teaching opens up new opportunities to impart knowledge and promote collaboration - but how are digital teaching and learning spaces influenced by gender roles and stereotypes? How can gender-sensitive teaching scenarios be designed and established? What opportunities and challenges do AI, open educational resources and VR, for example, offer?
Digital teaching-learning spaces are places of interaction where teachers and learners interact with each other and acquire, deepen and reflect on knowledge with the help of digital technologies.
The interdisciplinary lectures are aimed at students, teachers and anyone interested in critically reflecting on and actively shaping digital education.
The lecture series is hybrid. The Gender Lectures team looks forward to welcoming you online or on site in W48/001 on Tuesdays from 16:40 to 18:10 (6th DS).
