Researchers from theology, religious studies and Islamic studies met in Aachen on November 22 and 23 to network and explore practices of religious and ideological influencing. In her project presentation entitled "Fundamentalist influencing and right-wing populism by @ketzerderneuzeit, @liebezurbibel & Co.", Marie Briese provided an insight into her work over the past few months. She used the sub-discourse "Gender and LGBTQIA+" to illustrate the interaction of selected "Christfluencers".
The interdisciplinary exchange proved to be very helpful for all those present, so that further meetings are planned. Marie Briese will help organizing these. In the future, the content-related and aesthetic similarities observed so far, as well as legal, research ethics and methodological-practical issues will be discussed. Researchers from the fields of communication and media studies, Jewish studies and other interested parties are also invited to take part.
