On Tuesday, January 22, 2019, the TU Dresden project partners in the GADIAM - project („Gesundes Arbeiten mit vernetzten digitalen Arbeitsmitteln“) hosted the second meeting of the supervisory board. The main purpose of this project is to reduce the amount of stress through self-inducted or external time and performance pressure. For this purpose, the project coordinators Prof. Dr. Dr. Hacker (Arbeitsgruppe “Wissen-Denken-Handeln”) and Prof. Dr. T. Günther (chair of Business Management, esp Management Accounting and Control) welcomed the supervisory board in the old library of the Gerhart-Potthoff-Building at TU Dresden.
Besides Ms. Mischer and Mr. Kirsch from the chair of Business management esp Management Accounting and Control and other assistants of the project, the cooperation partners Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V., Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau GmbH and Telegärtner Gerätebau GmbH took part in this meeting. The further guests: the project management agency from Karlsruhe and the transfer partners Kieback&Peter GmbH & Co. KG and novaworx were welcomed as well. The supervisory board was represented by the „Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft Wirtschaftsregion Dresden“, the „Regionalgruppe Dresden der Familienunternehmer ASU e. V.“ and the university hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden (Zentralbereich Qualitäts- und Medizinisches Risikomanagement). To promote the transfer of knowledge within the higher-level research field "Arbeit in der digitalisierten Welt" of the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research), representatives of two other projects were invited to this year's meeting, Mr. Grömar and Ms. Bernardy.
After a welcome and detailed presentation of the current project status by the professors, the Advisory Councils presented questions, hints and their interest in the project in an open discussion round. In the second formal part of the event, Mr. Scherr explained the role of the three projects regarding the overall research field. Subsequently, the projects Hierad (Humanization of Digital Work by Coworking Spaces, Mr. Grömar) and vLead (Challenges and Opportunities of 'Digital Teams' and their leadership, Ms. Bernardy) had the opportunity to present themselves. Afterwards, questions and possibilities for collaboration between the three projects were openly discussed. Closing the event, there was the opporunity for informal exchange between the employees in the project, the cooperation partners of the project, the transfer partners and advisory councils during lunch.
We would like to thank all partners who took part in the event and the members of the supervisory board for the offered support, inspiring discussion and challenging questions.
Update: In the wake of the event, a short article about the project appeared in the current issue of the university journal (03/2019, on page 4, bottom right LINK).
