CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR COURSE INSTRUCTORS

Opportunities for qualification

Instructors have various opportunities to gain qualifications for their work:

  • Qualification and further training opportunities in the respective sport can be obtained from those responsible for the sport or via the state associations.
  • Every winter semester, the Bildungswerk des Landessportbundes Sachsen e.V. offers a cross-sport "Basic training course for university sports instructors" in cooperation with the Landeskonferenz Hochschulsport Sachsen e.V. (LHS). This is particularly suitable for new instructors or instructors without a license in all student sports programs. Contents include the basics of training theory, sports biology and the structure of a training unit.

Courses, further training etc. will be financially supported by the DHSZ at 50%, up to a maximum of 300 euros per year, after consultation with the person responsible for the sport. The decisive factor is that the training course qualifies the course instructor for the sport in which he/she works at the DHSZ.

To settle the further training, the document Course instructor training - settlement and the reimbursement form must be completed and submitted together with the

  • announcement
  • confirmation of participation (copy) and
  • proof of payment (invoice or original receipt with stamp and signature) or copy of the bank statement

to the person responsible for the sportno later than 20 days after the training course has taken place.

Other options

All active instructors can attend one course per semester free of charge for training purposes. Further details are explained in the document.
